This is a special and memorable tour of Oshima accompanied by an official art festival guide, using artworks as guideposts.
Oshima has a special significance as the setting for the Setouchi Art festival, and through a day of art appreciation, you can have a valuable experience of learning about the island's lifestyle that continues to this day and the history of leprosy.
Tomoko Konoike's work "Ringwanderung" allows visitors to experience a walking route that has been restored to the "Path of Love" that former residents walked.
In addition, her 2022 work " Stairway Descending to the Beach Beneath the Cliff" will be viewable exclusively on this official tour.
For lunch, a seasonal colorful bento from "Japanese Cuisine Kinoshita" will be provided.

| Some parts of the tour require walking from the bus parking area to the artwork. Please wear comfortable shoes.
To prevent heatstroke during the tour, please drink water regularly and wear a hat. Please follow the guide and tour conductor’s instructions and be on time for meeting points. Smoking is not allowed on the bus. Please take all your belongings and trash back home with you. If you need to leave the tour midway, please inform the tour conductor and fill out a departure form. Please be respectful in residential areas: don’t block roads or speak loudly. For “Ringwanderung”, the path descending to the beach involves walking down a steep cliff. For safety reasons, please carefully read and agree to the following conditions before participating (you will be asked to sign a designated participation consent form*). Even if you sign the consent form, staff may refuse your participation if they judge it unsafe. *Participants under 18 require a parent or guardian’s consent and signature. |
