The highlight event of the summer season returns!
This special bus tour offers the chance to fully enjoy contemporary art by Asian artists alongside the island’s uniquely beautiful landscapes.
In the Hitoyama and Nakayama areas, you can stroll through traditional satoyama (rural woodlands) and encounter gorgeous artworks decorated with gold, as well as magnificent works made from thousands of bamboo stalks that blend seamlessly with nature. Furthermore, at the Setouchi Asia Gallery in the Fukuda area, you can relax and enjoy artworks by artists from six Asian countries in the on-site cafe, experiencing the diverse cultures and sensibilities of Asia.
Lunch will be a tour-exclusive set meal, prepared at the gallery using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
In addition, on Saturday, October 4th, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a special event at the Setouchi Asia Gallery, an official event of the art festival, "Setouchi Echo Heritage A Cappella Live!", where buildings and spaces with unique acoustics will be named "Echo Heritage" and a cappella singing will be performed.
